Event: Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas 15th Anniversary - Pin Release & Signing Special Guests: Disney Design Group Artist - Chris Chapman Date: Saturday, September 13, 2008 Time: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Location: Little Green Men Store Command, Disneyland® Park Please join us as we welcome Disney Design Group Artist - Chris Chapman for a special pin release and signing. Inspired by his love for the Tim Burton film, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Chris has captured some of Halloweentown's most beloved characters in a frame-like format, including Jack Skellington, Sally, Zero as well as Lock, Shock and Barrel. Chris will be on hand for a special appearance and signing in celebration of the release of his pins inspired by his own original design ideas. Please note wristband distribution guidelines below. There will be pin purchasing limits for this release. Information subject to change without notice. -------------------------------------------------- Artist Bio: My Disney journey began when I was four years old, as I took my first trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort. I still have memories of walking around the corner on Main Street, U.S.A.® and catching my first glimpse of the Cinderella Castle. I also remember dropping below the waters on the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction, and even driving Mr. Toad's car down the train tracks! I was raised on Disney movies and cartoons. I developed a passion for Disney films and characters, as well as for drawing, at a very young age. As I grew up, I also became fascinated with Walt Disney and his legacy. I participated in the Walt Disney World® College Program in 2000, during my time as a student at Illinois State University. Following this experience, I worked in the parks and held professional internships before becoming a full-time Cast Member. For the past four years, I have been with the Disney Design Group. I love creating magic and memories for Guests around the world! -------------------------------------------------- Wristband Guidelines: Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers to the opportunity to purchase limited edition pins released in association with the "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas" product release and signing. Wristbands for pins will be distributed near the West Esplanade Guest Information Kiosk one hour prior to park opening until one hour past the opening of Disneyland® Park. Wristbands will then be available at Little Green Men Store Command until 12 Noon or while supplies last. In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line. Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise location until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. There are three ways to purchase these pins: Individual Pins The six (6) pins are as follows: Trumpeter Phineas Groom George Graveyard Musicians Ezra Gus Collector Set The Collector Set contains six (6) Limited Edition pins and one (1) completer pin of Constance, the bride from the attic. The completer pin is only available by purchasing the entire collector set and is not sold separately. Framed Set The Framed Collector Set contains six (6) limited edition pins and two (2) completer pins. The completer pins will be not be sold separately. The completer pins feature Constance and the Ghost with Busts. Event: Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Pin Release & Signing Special Guests: Disney Design Group Artist - Rachael Sur Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008 Time: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Location: Little Green Men Store Command, Disneyland® Park Please join us as we welcome Disney Design Group Artist - Rachael Sur for a special pin release and signing. Inspired by the Walt Disney animated film Sleeping Beauty, Rachael has exquisitely captured some of the films most memorable scenes including Aurora in the rarely seen Blue Gown, her travels through the woods, the most beloved villain of all, Maleficent and a Jumbo pin featuring the castle which opens up to reveal Aurora dancing with Prince Philip surrounded by the three fairies. Rachael will be on hand for a special appearance and signing in celebration of the release of these pins inspired by her own original design ideas. Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty premiered on January 29, 1959. Please note wristband distribution guidelines below. There will be pin purchasing limits for this release. When I became older I realized that I didn't just want to vacation at Disney, but that I wanted to work there as well.
